Masterplan Calzada de la República, Oaxaca de Juárez
Last January, we presented the draft of the master plan for Calzada de la República to the Ministry of the Infrastructures of the State of Oaxaca (SINFRA) and to the municipality of the city of Oaxaca de Juárez. This draft incorporates the resilience and climate adaptation measures, carried out by Deltares, and the principles of sustainable mobility, carried out by Move Mobility.
Resilient street
During a series of participatory workshops, Oaxacan professionals provided the last input to adjust the final master plan. The aims of this plan are to give the city a new inclusive, safe, sustainable and resilient public space. In the long term, this model of “resilient boulevard” could be replicated in other streets of the city and used as an example for other Mexican cities.
